SolarCity provides customers with solar power panels that are hooked up to the city’s electrical grid, meaning that they can have an additional power source when needed. Installation, equipment and maintenance is included for a monthly fee. There is one catch — SolarCity also reserves the right to claim any subsidies given to the home owner for switching to solar power.
